History
The park's public area entered service in 1995 and the park opened in 1997. Its operation is entrusted to the Fuefukigawa Fruit Park management group. Within the grounds stand the Fruit Park Fujiya Hotel and the Yokomizo Seishi Museum, adding lodging and cultural interest so that the site has grown into more than a simple park.
Access
The park lies at about 35.70222 degrees north and 138.66528 degrees east, on the hills of Yamanashi City. The nearest station is Yamanashi-shi on the JR Chuo Main Line, with the park set on higher ground above. Because the climb leads up the hillside, many visitors come by car or taxi. As bus services and opening hours may change, please confirm details through official sources before your visit.
Best season
Spring, when the fruit trees blossom, and the summer-to-autumn fruit season make the grounds especially vivid. But the greatest draw is night: chosen as one of the New Three Major Night Views of Japan, the glittering Kofu Basin is at its finest in the clear air of autumn and winter, making an after-sunset visit memorable.
