History
The mountain's name is said to derive from Musō Soseki. It is counted among the 100 Famous First Order Triangulation Station Mountains, as well as the 300 Famous Japanese Mountains, Hana no Hyaku Meizan, the 100 Famous Yamanashi Mountains, and the 100 Famous Mountains in Shinshū, marking it as a long-celebrated peak.
