History

Shinryū-ji belongs to the Nichiren sect, with Kuon-ji on Mount Minobu as its former head temple and ties to the Choshi lineage. As one of the Three Hokke Temples of Kofu, it has long supported local Nichiren faith, and it is also numbered among the Kai 108 Sacred Sites.
