
Overview
Mount Asayomine is a peak on the Hayakawa Ridge of the Akaishi Mountains (Southern Alps), on the ridge linking Mount Kaikoma and Mount Hōō. It rises to an elevation of 2,799 metres and is known for its favourable vantage over the northern Southern Alps peaks such as Mount Kaikoma, Mount Senjō and Mount Kita.

History
The mountain's name is said to derive from the meaning of a peak that catches the sun from early in the morning. Administratively it straddles the cities of Minami-Alps and Hokuto in Yamanashi Prefecture.
Access
Located on the Hayakawa Ridge of the Akaishi Mountains, the peak is reached via trails along the ridge connecting Mount Kaikoma and Mount Hōō.
Best season
As a high peak, it is climbed in seasons when snow is limited and ridge walking is feasible. In periods of settled weather the surrounding panorama can be enjoyed.
