Overview
Chōkaisan Ōmonoimi Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Yuza, Akumi District, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a Shikinaisha (Myōjin Taisha) and serves as the Ichinomiya of Dewa Province. Formerly ranked as a Kokuhei Chūsha, it is now a Beppyo shrine of the Association of Shinto Shrines.

History
It is a Shikinaisha (Myōjin Taisha) and the Ichinomiya of Dewa Province. Formerly a Kokuhei Chūsha, it is now a Beppyo shrine of the Association of Shinto Shrines. It comprises a main shrine enshrined at the summit of Mount Chokai and the Fukura and Warabioka kuchinomiya at the foot of the mountain.
Access
Located in Yuza, Akumi District, Yamagata Prefecture, it can be reached from the surrounding area by rail and road.
Best season
The kuchinomiya at the foot of the mountain can be visited year-round, while access to the summit main shrine is limited to when the climbing route is passable.
