
Overview
Jofuku Park is a park in Shingu, Wakayama Prefecture, commemorating Xu Fu. The site originally held what was regarded as the tomb of Xu Fu, and in 1994 it was extensively developed around that tomb into the park seen today. A Chinese-style gate tower was installed and now serves as the park's landmark.

History
The site originally held what was considered the tomb of Xu Fu. In August 1994 it was extensively developed around that tomb, including the erection of a Chinese-style gate tower, taking on its present form as a park. In one corner of the grounds stands a gravestone inscribed "Tomb of Xu Fu of Qin," said to have been erected in 1736, in the early Edo period.

Best season
The grounds are planted with large camphor trees and the camphor-family shrub known as wu yao, making the seasons when the greenery stands out pleasant for a quiet stroll.
