History
Originally run by Daisen Kanko Kaihatsu, in 2010 the operating rights to the Goenzan and Uenohara ski fields were acquired by Nihon Kotsu of Tottori City, which manages Daisen International Ski Resort. Since then the slopes have been integrated as part of Daisen White Resort and are known affectionately as the Goenzan area. Mount Daisen itself has long flourished as a sacred peak of mountain worship, and its majestic natural setting forms the stage for the ski field.
Access
The field sits at the northwestern foot of Mount Daisen in Daisen, Saihaku District (around 35.4 N, 133.53 E). Visitors typically drive from the Yonago area toward the Daisenji temple district. Winter tires or chains are essential in the snow season. Please check operating status, the latest access details and parking with the official Daisen White Resort information.
Best season
The season generally runs from late December to late March. Thanks to abundant snowfall, the deep-winter months of January and February can offer light, powdery conditions. In March the daytime sun grows warmer, making it a pleasant time for spring skiing.
