Overview

Tower Hall Funabori is a municipal multipurpose cultural complex in the Funabori area of Edogawa, Tokyo, also known as the Edogawa Ward General Citizens' Hall and popularly called the Funabori Tower. It opened on 16 March 1999 and rises 115 metres, with an observation deck at 103 metres. The complex houses the tower, a large hall, meeting rooms, a cinema and a wedding hall.

History

The facility opened on 16 March 1999 as a municipal cultural complex operated by Edogawa Ward. Also named the Edogawa Ward General Citizens' Hall, it was developed as a cultural hub for local residents. Because of the height of its publicly accessible observation deck, it is sometimes introduced as one of Tokyo's representative towers.

It stands in the Funabori area of Edogawa, Tokyo, and can be reached using local public transport serving the surrounding district.

Best season

As an indoor facility centred on a hall and observation deck, it can be visited year-round. Views from the deck are said to be especially clear in seasons when the air is crisp.
