
Overview
Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower in Shiba-koen, Minato, Tokyo, with the official name Japan Radio Tower. Completed on 23 December 1958, it has become a symbol of Tokyo and a popular tourist attraction. Standing 332.6 meters tall, it is registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.

History
Construction began in 1957, and the tower was completed on 23 December 1958, during the Shōwa era. Its structural design was undertaken by Tachū Naitō. In later years it was registered as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property and chosen among the 100 Landscapes of Heisei.

It is located in Shiba-koen, Minato, Tokyo. Situated in the city center, it is easily reached from the surrounding urban area.
Best season
As an observation facility, it offers views on clear days. At night it is also known as a spot for city night views.
