
Overview
The Tsunamachi Mitsui Club is a building and garden complex laid out in the Mita district of Minato Ward, Tokyo. Commonly abbreviated to the Mitsui Club, its main building is a Renaissance-style structure designed by Josiah Conder. A garden extends from the slope on the south side down to the lower ground.

History
The complex was laid out in 1913. It was built on the former site of the Edo residence of the Shimazu Awaji-no-kami, atop the Hyugazaka slope, and until around 2009 the row houses of the former residence still remained as they had been. The building was designed by Josiah Conder.

The complex stands in Mita 2-chome, Minato Ward, Tokyo, near the top of the Hyugazaka slope.
Best season
As a site accompanied by a garden, its character shifts with the changing colors of the trees through the seasons.
