Overview
Mount Miune (read Miune or Sanrei) stands 1,894 meters high on the border of Kochi and Tokushima Prefectures and is the highest peak in Kochi. Chosen for both the 200 Famous Mountains of Japan and the 100 Famous Mountains of Shikoku, it is celebrated for a summit landscape woven from gentle ridgelines cloaked in dwarf bamboo grass and scattered conifers, counted among the most beautiful in all of Shikoku. Access
The mountain rises near latitude 33.84 and longitude 133.99, on the boundary of Miyoshi in Tokushima and Kami in Kochi. Best season

Winter brings snow and severe cold that sharply raise the difficulty, making it terrain for experienced climbers.
