Overview

The Nasu Highlands spread across the southern foothills of Mount Nasu in the north of Tochigi Prefecture. Gentle slopes stretch from the Mount Nasu side, at over a thousand meters, down to around 300 meters where National Route 4 passes, creating a grand landscape. Counted among the "Tochigi no Hyakusama," it is a highland resort representative of Tochigi.

History

The Nasu Highlands are foothill terrain where gentle slopes spread from the Mount Nasu area at over a thousand meters down to around 300 meters, where the Tohoku Main Line and National Route 4 run. It is counted as one of the "Tochigi no Hyakusama," a selection of Tochigi's noted sights and specialties.

Access

Best season

Summer, when you can enjoy the cool highland air, or the daytime of autumn when the foothills turn color, is recommended for comfortably taking in the views of the gentle slopes.
