Overview
Ikari Dam is a gravity dam 112.0 meters high, built on the Ojika River in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. It serves flood control for the Ojika River and the Kinugawa and Tone rivers into which it flows, as well as prefecturally operated hydroelectric power. It was the first multipurpose dam completed in this river system.

History
Built on the Ojika River of the Tone River system, construction began in 1941. It was planned for flood control of the Ojika River and the Kinugawa and Tone rivers downstream, together with prefecturally operated hydroelectric power, and became the first multipurpose dam completed in this system.
