Overview
Kasui-sai is a Sōtō Zen Buddhist temple in Fukuroi, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, with the mountain name Banshōzan and enshrining Shō-Kannon as its principal image. During the Edo period it served as the "Tōkai Daisōroku," the supervising head temple over Sōtō temples in the provinces of Mikawa, Tōtōmi, Suruga and Izu, holding authority equal to that of the Kanto Sansetsu. It is counted as one of the Three Mountains of Enshū.

The temple bears the mountain name Banshōzan, and its temple crest is a triple hollyhock within a circle. In the Edo period, as the "Tōkai Daisōroku," it brought the Sōtō temples of Mikawa, Tōtōmi, Suruga and Izu under its supervision as a head temple, holding authority equal to that of the Kanto Sansetsu.
