History
Zenkō Adachi (1899–1990), a businessman from the Yasugi area, established the museum in 1970 with a focus on modern and contemporary Japanese paintings. The collection includes around 120 works by Yokoyama Taikan among some 2,000 pieces. In April 2020, a separate hall dedicated to the works of Kitaoji Rosanjin was opened.
