
Overview
The Gōnokawa River is the main stream of a Class A river system flowing through Shimane and Hiroshima prefectures. It runs for 194 kilometres and drains a basin of 3,900 square kilometres. It is the largest river in the Chūgoku region and the only Class A river there to cut across the Chūgoku Mountains as an antecedent river.
