Mount Daimanji rises to 607.7 meters in Okinoshima, Oki District, Shimane Prefecture, and is the highest peak of the Oki Islands. History

As the highest point of the Oki Islands, the mountain has long been looked up to by the islanders. The area around its 607.7-meter summit is designated part of Daisen-Oki National Park, where the distinctive landforms and vegetation of Oki are protected. Its selection among the 100 Famous Chugoku Mountains reflects its standing as one of the region's representative peaks.
