History
The facility opened in April 2000 under Yunokawa Farm Co., a third-sector company jointly funded by the former town of Hikawa, JA Hikawa, and Farm Co. It was originally equipped as a hands-on agricultural theme park, but Farm Co., which provided the know-how, withdrew at the end of March 2008. The site was then greatly scaled down, keeping the hot spring facilities, and the operating company, Yunokawa Farm, was dissolved at the end of March 2009.
Access
The facility lies in the Yunokawa Onsen district of Izumo City, Shimane. It is easy to combine with sightseeing in central Izumo or a visit to Izumo Taisha, and makes a fine base for enjoying the Yunokawa hot springs.
