Overview
Kamioka Kannon is a Buddhist hall in Oka, Higashimatsuyama, Saitama Prefecture, dedicated to Batō Kannon (the horse-headed Kannon) and managed by the nearby Myōan-ji temple. Every year on 19 February a votive-tablet fair (ema market) is held here. The present building dates from 1914.

History
The hall has long served as a place of worship dedicated to Batō Kannon. The building that stands today was constructed in 1914, during the Taishō era. The custom of the votive-tablet fair has been designated a Selected Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan under the name 'the ema-market custom of Higashimatsuyama Kamioka Kannon.'

Best season
The votive-tablet fair on 19 February is a good time to combine a visit with the traditional event. Autumn, when the large ginkgo trees within the grounds turn colour, offers a quiet seasonal scene as well.
