History
Miyoshino Shrine stood on this site before Kawagoe Castle was built, but with the castle's construction by father and son Ota Dochin and Ota Dokan, it came to lie within the castle's Tenjin bailey. A major repair was carried out in 1989 and completed in 1992. It is a designated cultural property of Saitama Prefecture.
