Mount Kyō, also known as Mount Kyōgatake, is a volcano straddling Kashima City and Tara Town in Saga Prefecture and Ōmura City in Nagasaki Prefecture. At 1,075.7 meters, it is the highest mountain in Saga Prefecture and belongs to the Tara volcanic mountain range, and it is listed among the '100 Famous Mountains of Kyushu.'

As the highest point within the Tara mountain range, Mount Kyō and the surrounding highlands have been designated as the Mount Tara Natural Park, a prefectural park set up to protect the mountain scenery and natural environment of the area. Access

Because the mountain straddles Kashima City and Tara Town in Saga Prefecture and Ōmura City in Nagasaki Prefecture, trailheads approach it from more than one direction.
