Overview
Gyokusendo is a limestone cave located in Nanjo, Okinawa Prefecture. In the broad sense it refers to a cave system exceeding 5,000 meters in total length that developed in the basin of the Yuhigawa River in the southern part of Okinawa Island; in the narrow sense it refers to the Maegawa No. 6 Cave located within this cave system. Numerous stalactites have formed within it.
