Yuho Park

Overview

Yuho Park is an urban park, in the form of a greenway, in the center of Oita City in Oita Prefecture. Laid out as a long, narrow pedestrian path running through the middle of the city, it has become a calm strolling space dotted with sculptures. Though set amid a downtown of offices and shops, it offers a touch of greenery and rest, making it a perfect place to slip into and pause during a walk through the city.

History

Yuho Park opened on March 31, 1951, making it a park with real history. Though compact at about 3,812 square meters, it has long been cherished as a green ribbon through central Oita City and has come to form part of the city's scenery. Known as a promenade lined with sculptures, it has continued to add culture and refreshment to the urban core over the years.
