Overview
Mount Kongō (Kongō-san) is a 1,125-metre-high mountain on the border between Gose in Nara Prefecture and Chihayaakasaka in Osaka Prefecture. It lies within the Kongō-Ikoma-Kisen Quasi-National Park and is counted among the sights of the Okukawachi area selected for Osaka's "100 Greenery Spots." It is also known by the name Katsuragi-no-mine.

History
Rising on the border of Nara and Osaka prefectures, the mountain has long also been called Katsuragi-no-mine. It lies within the Kongō-Ikoma-Kisen Quasi-National Park and has been chosen for Osaka's "100 Greenery Spots."
Access
The mountain stands on the border between Gose in Nara Prefecture and Chihayaakasaka in the Minamikawachi district of Osaka Prefecture. The peak itself lies on the Nara side.
Best season
Standing 1,125 metres high, the mountain shows a different profile in each season. Mild spring and autumn are the easiest times for hiking.
