History
Mount Mimuro is a place of deep poetic heritage, yet it was not officially called “Mimuro” until the modern era. Around 1957, when Ikaruga Town developed it into a park, it became widely known as a cherry-blossom destination. Though only 82 meters tall, together with the flow of the Tatsuta River it still evokes the world of classical Japanese literature.
