Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, that recreates the Netherlands and takes Europe as a whole for its theme. Opened on March 25, 1992, it covers an area about 1.5 times that of the Tokyo Disney Resort and ranks among the largest single theme parks in Japan. Its name comes from Huis ten Bosch in The Hague, one of the official residences of the Dutch royal family.

History
