Overview
Ikitsuki Island is an inhabited island to the northwest of Hirado Island in Nagasaki Prefecture, the whole of which belongs to the city of Hirado. Before the founding of the present city of Hirado on October 1, 2005, it was part of Ikitsuki town in Kitamatsuura district. It is linked to Hirado Island by a bridge.

History
The whole of Ikitsuki Island belongs to the city of Hirado in Nagasaki Prefecture. Before the founding of the present city of Hirado on October 1, 2005, it was part of Ikitsuki town in Kitamatsuura district. With the opening of the Ikitsuki Great Bridge in 1991, the island became directly connected to Hirado Island.
