Kurumayama-Kogen SKYPARK Ski Resort spreads across the Kurumayama highlands in Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. History
The ski resort opened in 1965. Since then it has been operated by Shinshu Sogo Kaihatsu Kanko and is also known as Kurumayama Kogen SKYPARK Ski Resort. Snowboarding is allowed on all slopes, welcoming a wide range of winter sports fans. In summer it operates as the highland retreat Kurumayama Kogen SKYPARK Resort, and its ropeway and lifts run throughout the year. It has grown into a facility where the highland's nature can be enjoyed through all four seasons.
Access
The resort is located in the Kurumayama highlands of Chino City, Nagano Prefecture. Driving up to the plateau from the direction of the Suwa Interchange on the Chuo Expressway is common, and in winter, studless tires or chains are essential for the snowy roads. Best season
Midwinter is the true season for those seeking fine powder snow. At the same time, thanks to the year-round ropeway, it is worth visiting in summer to seek the cool highland air, and Kurumayama is popular as a summer retreat. In the green season, you can also enjoy the summit views and hiking.
