History
The bridge opened on March 25, 1993. It connects Shinonoi-Shiozaki in the city of Nagano with Yashiro in the city of Chikuma, crossing the Chikuma River, which forms the upper course of the Shinano River. As part of the Nagano Expressway (Nagano Line of the Chuo Expressway), it supports high-speed transport in the region.
