
Overview
Aoshima Shrine is a Shinto shrine on Aoshima island in Miyazaki, Miyazaki Prefecture, enshrined near the centre of the island, whose entire circumference of 1.5 km forms the shrine precinct. Formerly ranked as a village shrine, it is now a beppyo shrine of the Association of Shinto Shrines. It is dedicated to Hikohohodemi no Mikoto and Toyotama-hime.

History
