Overview
The Nobeoka Castle and Naitō Memorial Museum is a museum in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture. Its predecessor, the Naitō Memorial Museum, opened in 1963, and since September 2022 the present institution has used the name Nobeoka Castle and Naitō Memorial Museum. It stands on the former site of the Nishi-no-maru (the lord's residence) of Nobeoka Castle.

History
The predecessor Naitō Memorial Museum opened in 1963, and its collection related to the history, culture and folklore of Nobeoka, with particular emphasis on the Naitō clan. Following later redevelopment, the present institution has used the name Nobeoka Castle and Naitō Memorial Museum since September 2022. The building stands on the former Nishi-no-maru (the lord's residence) site of Nobeoka Castle.

The museum is located in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture. Visitors are advised to check local road and public-transport conditions in advance.
Best season
As the displays are chiefly indoors, the museum is easy to visit in any season. To enjoy the castle-site setting as well, the settled-weather months make for easier walking.
