Overview
Sendai Yagiyama Zoological Park is a municipal zoo located in Taihaku-ku, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. It opened in 1965 and sits on Yagiyama, a height overlooking central Sendai. As of 2018 it kept 581 animals across 130 species.

History
The zoo opened in 1965 and has been operated by the city of Sendai. In April 2020 the department store Fujisaki, headquartered in Sendai, acquired the naming rights, and the nickname "Yagiyama Zoo Fujisaki no Mori" came into use.

The zoo lies on Yagiyama in Taihaku-ku, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, on a height overlooking the central part of the city.
Best season
As viewing the animals is chiefly an outdoor activity, a visit is most comfortable from spring through autumn, when the weather is mild.
