Toba Aquarium is a public aquarium in Toba, Mie Prefecture. It houses some 1,200 species of marine and freshwater creatures, a figure regarded as among the largest in Japan. The exhibits are arranged into 12 distinct zones that recreate natural environments.

History
The aquarium opened on May 15, 1955. Its building was designed by Taisei Corporation. More than one million people visit each year, with about 1.18 million admissions recorded in 2025, and cumulative visitors surpassing 70 million by 2026.
