Overview
Hamazume Beach is a shoreline in the Hamazume district of Amino-cho, Kyotango, Kyoto Prefecture, also known as Yuhigaura Beach or Tokoyohama. It is celebrated as a scenic spot for beautiful sunsets and was chosen as one of Japan's Hundred Best Sunsets. In 1987 it was also named one of Japan's 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine landscapes.

History
The beach carries a legend that it is the oldest place in Japan to which the tachibana citrus tree was brought by Tajimamori. In 1987 it was designated one of Japan's 100 Best White Sand and Green Pine landscapes by the association for protecting the greenery of Japan's pines.
