Overview

Terado Otsuka Kofun is a keyhole-shaped burial mound in the Shibayama area of Terado, Muko, Kyoto Prefecture. One of the tumuli making up the nationally designated Otokuni Kofun Cluster, it takes the distinctive zenpo-koen (front-square, rear-round) form. Set in the western part of the Kyoto basin, the mound still quietly preserves the shape raised by people of the Kofun period.
