Overview
Kaname Falls is a waterfall in Kaname-machi, Hitoyoshi city, Kumamoto Prefecture. It is made up of three cascades: the Male Fall with a 36 m drop, the Female Fall with a 30 m drop, and the Flat Fall upstream of the Male Fall, offering a wonderfully varied waterfall landscape. It is counted among Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls.

History
The falls were designated a Place of Scenic Beauty of Hitoyoshi city on March 10, 1958, and were further designated a Place of Scenic Beauty of Kumamoto Prefecture on March 22, 2024. It has long been a cherished scenic spot in the region.
