Overview
Murotozaki Lighthouse is a white iron lighthouse standing on high ground near Cape Muroto in Murotomisakichō, Muroto, Kochi Prefecture. The surrounding area is designated as the Muroto-Anan Kaigan Quasi-National Park, a scenic spot overlooking the Pacific Ocean. First lit in 1899, it is designated as an A-rank preserved lighthouse by the Japan Coast Guard for its historical value.

History
The lighthouse was first lit on April 1, 1899. In recognition of its historical value, it has been designated an A-rank preserved lighthouse by the Japan Coast Guard. It is also counted among Japan's 50 selected lighthouses.
