Overview
The Port of Yokohama is a harbor on Tokyo Bay in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, operated by the City of Yokohama. Under harbor-regulation law it is designated the Yokohama district of Keihin Port, which it forms together with the ports of Kawasaki and Tokyo. It has been designated an international container strategic port by the national government.

History
The port opened on 1 July 1859 as one of the five ports opened during the Ansei opening of Japan. Its formal name under harbor law is the Port of Yokohama, while harbor-regulation law calls it the Yokohama district of Keihin Port. It serves as part of Keihin Port and holds the designation of international container strategic port.
