History
The Port of Kawasaki opened in November 1926. It has since been developed as a harbor on the Tokyo Bay coast and is today designated as an International Strategic Port under the Port and Harbor Act. Under harbor and customs law it is regarded, together with the Ports of Tokyo and Yokohama, as part of the Keihin Port, forming its Kawasaki district.
