
Overview
The Chichu Art Museum, literally meaning "art museum in the earth," is a registered museum in the town of Naoshima, Kagawa Prefecture, operated by the Fukutake Foundation. Designed by Tadao Ando's architectural office, it opened to the public on July 18, 2004. It permanently exhibits the work of just three artists: Claude Monet, James Turrell, and Walter De Maria.
