Overview
Ogijima is an island of about 1.34 square kilometers in the Seto Inland Sea, north of Takamatsu in Kagawa Prefecture. Administratively part of Takamatsu, it is largely mountainous with little flat land. A notable granite lighthouse stands at its northern end.

History
The island is said to form a paired relationship with neighboring Megijima, the two being described together as the "male and female islands." Administratively part of Ogicho in Takamatsu, it has developed around the island's single village.
Access
The island lies off Takamatsu, a few kilometers out to sea to the north, and together with neighboring Megijima is known as the male-and-female islands.
Best season
Spring through autumn, when the calm sea can be enjoyed, is considered a suitable time for walking the island.
