Overview

Awashima is an inhabited island in the Seto Inland Sea, part of the city of Mitoyo in Kagawa Prefecture. One of the Shiwaku Islands, it lies about 4.5 km northwest of the port of Takuma. With an area of about 3.72 km² and a population of 216 (as of 2015), it offers quiet, unhurried island time.
