Overview
Ryusendo Cave is a limestone cavern in the town of Iwaizumi, Iwate Prefecture, in the Tohoku region of northern Japan. It is counted as one of Japan's three great limestone caverns, alongside Akiyoshido in Yamaguchi Prefecture and Ryugado in Kochi Prefecture. The cave is known for its many underground lakes.

Ryusendo Cave lies in the town of Iwaizumi and is designated a national natural monument. In 1985 the water of its underground lakes was chosen as one of Japan's 100 finest and best-conserved waters. It is also listed among Japan's Top 100 Geological Sites.
