Overview

Notojima is an island lying in Nanao Bay in the city of Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, with an area of 46.78 square kilometres and a circumference of 71.9 kilometres. It once formed a single town in itself, Notojima-machi, but became part of the city of Nanao through a merger on 1 October 2004. It is included within the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park.

History

Notojima once formed a single town in itself, namely Notojima-machi. Through a merger on 1 October 2004, it became part of the city of Nanao. The island is included within the Noto Peninsula Quasi-National Park.
