Overview
Shimodate Haguro Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in the Kō district (Shimodate Ōmachi 2-chōme) of Chikusei, Ibaraki Prefecture. It serves as the tutelary shrine of Shimodate (the Shimodate area of Chikusei, the former center of the old city of Shimodate) and is regarded as the central shrine among the Shimodate Nana-Haguro. Its formal name is simply "Haguro Shrine."

History
The shrine's formal name is "Haguro Shrine," and it has been venerated as the tutelary shrine of Shimodate. Among local residents the names "Haguro Shrine" and "O-Haguro-san" are in common use.
