
Overview
Nushima is an island in the northwestern Kii Channel, about 4.6 km south of Awaji Island. It belongs to Minami-Awaji, Hyogo Prefecture, and marks the southernmost point of the prefecture. Covering roughly 2.71 km² with a coastline of 9.53 km and a high point of 117.2 m, it forms part of the Setonaikai National Park.

History
Lying south of Awaji Island, Nushima belongs administratively to Minami-Awaji, Hyogo Prefecture. A village, Nushima-mura of Mihara District, formerly stood on the island. Today the island forms part of the Setonaikai National Park.

The island sits in the northwestern Kii Channel about 4.6 km south of Awaji Island and is reached by sea from the Awaji side.
Best season
As part of the Setonaikai National Park, the island is pleasant to visit from spring through autumn under its mild climate.
