History
Shichiku Garden opened in 1989. Its owner, Akiyo Shichiku (whose given name is also read Akiyo, written 昭代, born 1927), began creating the garden after the death of her husband and nurtured it as head of the operating company. She was long affectionately known to visitors as "Grandma Shichiku."

The garden is located in Obihiro, Hokkaido. It can be visited while touring the Tokachi region.
Best season
A variety of flowers bloom from spring through autumn. For those visiting for the garden itself, the warmer months when flowers are at their best are the main season.
