History

Marina Hop opened on March 17, 2005. Designed by Azusa Sekkei, it began as a mixed-use leisure complex that made the most of its seaside location next to the yacht harbor, serving as an ancillary facility of Hiroshima Kanon Marina. From its opening it featured several attractions, including a Ferris wheel and the Mariho Aquarium, and it was used by the people of Hiroshima as a waterfront hub combining shopping with leisure.

Access

The complex lies near 34.36 degrees north and 132.42 degrees east, on the coast of Kanon-shinmachi in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City. Set in an area facing the Seto Inland Sea to the southwest of central Hiroshima, it adjoins Hiroshima Kanon Marina. From the city center, access is generally by car or bus.
