Overview

The western face of Mount Shirasawa is designated as part of the Gunma Prefecture Natural Environment Conservation Area (Hiragatake / Mount Shirasawa west face), protecting valuable natural surroundings. Straddling both Niigata and Gunma prefectures, it holds the character of a border peak.
