Overview
Gifu Park is a public park located at the base of Mount Kinka in the city of Gifu, Gifu Prefecture, and is managed by the city of Gifu. Around and within the park are gathered a number of cultural facilities, along with Gifu Castle atop the mountain and the Mt. Kinka Ropeway. It is a historic park that opened in November 1887.

History
Gifu Park opened in November 1887. Within the grounds, features such as the Japan and China Friendship Garden have been laid out. In 1992 the area around Gifu Park was chosen among the "100 Best Urban Landscapes," and in 2006 the park was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Public Historical Parks.
